Thursday Announcements

  • Due Saturday (usually Thursdays): Annotations 01 (watch ONLY the first 15 minutes of the video + 2 brief articles)

  • Today in class: Lab 01 - see your assigned group in Blackboard (under Groups)

  • Due Tuesday: Watch Week 02 Lecture video - can you access them now?

  • I’m relatively flexible with due dates - they’re there for a reason, but up to a 5 day extension is usually granted (with the exception of some project due dates).

    • “Extension request form” link on Blackboard home page
  • Notecards for attendance. What to put on it:

    • Name
    • Date
    • OPTIONAL but ENCOURAGED:
      • what questions do you have? what was confusing or unclear (i.e. “muddiest point”)
      • anything going on in your life you’d like me to be aware of? (e.g. overwhelmed/stressed, big interview coming up, family member sick) I’m a praying person :) and can also point you to support resources if/when helpful

Let’s talk about AI :)

** Disclaimer: your professors are all figuring this out as we go – your input is really valuable!**

  • What’s not important anymore?
  • What’s still important?
  • How do you use it currently? What have you found it to be good at / not so good at?
  • Course AI policy

Questions?

  • “Not sure I understand the difference between Environment of your Quarto document & the Console”

Lab 01
